Icelandic exam for those applying for citizenship

Next exam for Icelandic for those applying for Icelandic citizenship, will be held in November 2023.

Registration starts on the 21st of September. A limited number will be admitted in each test round.

Registration ends, 2nd of November.

It is not possible to register for an exam after the registration deadline.

Exams in Icelandic for applicants for Icelandic citizenship are held twice a year, in spring and autumn. Mímir language school is in charge of the implementation of citizenship exams for the National Institute of Education.

Work is carried out in accordance with the rules set by the National Agency for Education regarding registration and payments.
