Icelandic exam for those applying for Icelandic citizenship

Tests in Icelandic for applicants for Icelandic citizenship are held twice a year, in spring and autumn.

 

Registration started March 16, 2021 and registration ends May 12. 2021. It is not possible to register after the registration deadline.


Next test:

Akureyri, Wednesday 26 May, at 13.00

Egilsstaðir, Thursday 27 May, at 13.00

Ísafjörður, Friday 28 May, at 13.00

 

Registration for an exam is not valid unless payment has bee made.


The exams are held at Mímir. Further information and registration here.

 

Menntamálastofnun reviews the exams and sends a letter with the results to the examiners. It takes about a month.
