Mæðrastyrksnefnd (Subvention for Mothers)

Mæðrastyrksnefnd (an association of women that supports those in need) allocates food and clothing to people undergoing financial difficulties.
It is not only single mothers that seek help from Mæðrastyrksnefnd. Men, both single and with children, the disabled and senior citizens also look to them for help.
Mæðrastyrksnefnd Reykjavíkur is located at Hátún 12b
The allocation of food, clothing etc is on Wednesdays from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. On other week days, the office is open from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Mæðrastyrksnefnd úthlutar mat og fötum til þeirra sem eiga í fjárhagserfiðleikum.
Það eru ekki aðeins einstæðar mæður sem leita til Mæðrastyrksnefndar. Karlmenn, bæði einstæðir og með börn, og öryrkjar og eldri borgarar leita einnig til Mæðrastyrksnefndar.
Mæðrastyrksnefnd Reykjavíkur er til húsa í Hátúni 12 b.
Afgreiðsla á mat, fatnaði o.fl. er á miðvikudögum kl. 14-17, en aðra virka daga er skrifstofan opin kl. 10-15.
