Mæðrastyrksnefnd (Subvention for Mothers)

• Mæðrastyrksnefnd (an association of women that supports those in need) allocates food and clothing to people undergoing financial difficulties.
• It is not only single mothers that seek help from Mæðrastyrksnefnd. Men, both single and with children, the disabled and senior citizens also look to them for help.
• Mæðrastyrksnefnd Reykjavíkur is located at Hátún 12b
• The allocation of food, clothing etc is on Wednesdays from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. On other week days, the office is open from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
